if not why? considering that some of the best boxers of recent times, and most the best current heavyweights are white, why are there no white yanks?

I think it is an economic thing. The American's have it quite easy and they prefer not to fight. The Europeans (e.g Eastern Europeans) on the other hand have not got it easy and are tough bastards.
