WBO light heavyweight champ Juergen Braehmer spent Friday in court in Schwerin charged with assault. The prosecutor wants Braehmer to go to jail for 18 months for beating up a woman in a bar in Schwerin last year. Braehmer´s defence pleaded innocent and played Bob Dylan´s song "Hurricane" for the court and with a defence like that, one don´t need a prosecutor. The court will hand out its verdict on Tuesday of next week. [Click Here To Read More]

Dude is a total bonehead if he's guilty. Finally gets gifted a title by Universum and had the prospect of making big money fighting nobodies in Germany. Now he goes and gets himself arrested for beating up a woman.
WBO knows a moneymaker when they see one and they won't strip him, but Braehmer can't seem to keep himself out of trouble

The defense for this was bizarre.

I wish they would elaborate. Playing a song in court in Germany. WTF?

I don't think the German judges would play like that (unless of course Universum bought them off)

Braehmer has a history of this sort of thing.
