Just because the deal with Mayweather fell through, that doesn't mean that boxing fans like me will be deprived of a great fight. Pacquiao choosing a very credible opponent thus in his own way saying to his fans that he will still entertain us. This will be exciting, explosive and an all action fight. Worthy of a pay per view. I am very glad that he is taking on a true welterweight. A great fighter doesn't have to worry about risk. If you look at Pacquiaos' record...he has losses. This is why he is the most exciting fighter of today.

The premise of the article is all wrong. Pacquiao is not looking for the easier fight (else he would pick foreman). First and foremost Pacquiao is looking for the toughest fight, and the fight that can give the fans their money's worth.

is there anything wrong about picking tough opponents? if PACMAN losses then its bcoz he fought the best and tough opponents available. bt im sure he'll win this match. i just dont see clottey knocking down PACMAN he wasn't even able to knock cotto when he is on the advantage. clottey was down by just a single punch from cotto where the PACMAN si just eating cotto's punches the whole match. i dunno why this atlas man do think clottey is more dangerous than cotto. it just make me laugh! but this fight is still tough as clottey is a tough boxer. go PACMAN!
