BoxingScene.com sat down with outspoken trainer Teddy Atlas on Saturday to get his thoughts on Manny Pacquiao's defense of the WBO welterweight title against Joshua Clottey on March 13. Atlas was surprised that Pacquiao passed on WBA junior middleweight champion Yuri Foreman, but agreed to fight Clottey. Atlas feels Pacquiao is making a big mistake if he and his handlers believe Clottey is the easier fight. [Click Here To Read More]

If Clottey opens up this could very well be the case, however he is primarily a defensive fighter which will give Pac many opportunities. Yuri is a mover and Pac would have to chase him all night. Should Clottey open up, he could hurt Pac but i don't think he will.
I don't think Pac will be able to hurt Clottey too badly though because of his defensive mindset and he has never been knocked out or badly cut.Comment

At least pacquiao went to the more dangerous fighter. 1 step closer to unifying the welterweight division. It might not have been announced, but I'm seeing a super 6 in the welterweight division with 1 fighter ducking the rest.
Pacquiao 1-0
Mosley 1-1
Berto 0-0
Margarito 1-1
Cotto 2-2
Mayweather 0-0Comment

F**k Clottey
Not only is Clottey a better fighter than Manny but I think he is alot tougher than Yuri. So I agree with Atlas. But, pardon the language when I say, "F**k Clottey", take the tests and fight Floyd. If Manny's camp were asking Floyd to take tests, you (fake boxing experts) would be all over Floyd saying he's ducking and using the tests as an excuse.
All we want is a fight with Floyd, nothing else will do.Comment

both guys are dangerous, but i respect the decision to fight clottey more. foreman would just be to chase records, and at the end of the day, that doesn't impress anyone. clottey shows that pacquiao - win or lose - will take on the best in the division.Comment
