Reports are coming out of Pakistan that a bomb was found underneath a boxing ring on the final day of the Be****r Bhutto Shaheed International Boxing Tournament.
Officials indicate one kg of explosives were found under the boxing ring in Karachi on Friday and the bid to explode the ring was foiled.
According to Pakistan news sources the explosive material included phosphorus, five bottles of petrol, bearings, nut bolts and nails
It is believed that the petrol bottles and phosphorus could have caused huge fireball which could have lead to many losses.
Boxers were participating from Pakistan, China, Iraq, Thailand, Syria, Uzbekistan and Hungary.
Only the day before Amir Khan was in Karachi declaring "I am pleased to be back in the country of my forefathers and when people see me touring Pakistan it will put in their minds that it's a safe place to play."
