I know I'm about to catch a lot of heat from the Pac Stans/ Floyd haters, but I wanted to get an unbiased opinion on this whole situation, and there was no better person to ask than my mother. So I called her up and broke down the whole situation to her. So here is what I broke down for her:

      1. Mayweather/Pacquiao - biggest fight out there; both stand to make about 40 million dollars that night.

      2. Mayweather camp is su****ious of Pacquiao's rise in weight classes and domination of bigger fighters.

      3. Mayweather requested that they both undergo Olympic style blood testing that is NOT required by the commission.

      4. Pacquiao's camp has been making a big fuss about the whole drug testing issue.

      5. Pacquiao's camp has been making contradictory statements, such as "we'll take any test in the world" "5 day window is good" "pacquiao is superstitious" etc, etc, etc..

      6. Ariza claimed that Pacquiao doesn't know what he's taking.

      7. Pacquiao was willing to take a test after the press conference, 30 days before the fight, and after the fight.

      8. Pacquiao's final offer was a 24 day window.

      9. Pacquiao appears to have officially rejected Mayweather's 14 day window offer and accepted another fight, thus throwing away 40 million dollars.

After explaining all of that to her, I asked her how she thought that made Pacquiao look. Her response was "guilty as hell!" She went on to explain how anyone with nothing to hide would stick out their arm and say "here, take the blood".

Anyway, the point of this thread was not to say, "see, Pacquiao is guilty because my mom said so". I just want to know how many of you have asked completely unbiased people about their take on this whole situation. I believe Teddy Atlas is right and that your average person who has no emotional attachment to either fighter is going to be really su****ious of Pacquiao.

So, have any of you asked non-fans what they thought about the whole situation? If so, what were their responses?

Oh, and don't waste your time with the mom insults or "you're a newbie" nonsense. Either share your experiences or don't bother replying.
good post. mayweathers obviously made pacquiaos reputation look really bad without knowledge or proof of what they are accusing him of. from the beginning mayweathers have already fcuked this whole fight up, but in the end pacquiao could have saved it and say fcuk it, lets do it and fight. but i also believe mayweathers shouldn't have accused him in the first place. it's like putting hard work and getting demoted, **** just doesn't make sence.

As others have pointed out, you presented these details in a biased light, leaving out several key points, so the experiment, though noble in intent, is a FAIL.

It's pretty obvious that Pacman has a problem with random testing. Marquez never accused him of anything, but Bob Arum and Manny both rejected Marquez for not only the 50-50 split demand (Manny deserved more), but also for the olympic random testing requests as well.

actually.. they dont care about random drug testing, they just want a 24 day window before the fight. meaning they can do the test whenever, just not 24 days before the fight. whats your point about them not taking that? obviously they've turned it down before, they'll turn it down again and all for the same reason. of course marquez never accused him, there was no reason for all that.

The point about random testing is that you cannot set your own testing schedule. 30 days, 24 days, 14 days, or even 5 days shouldn't be options, that's why it's called RANDOM test. I think Floyd requests was more than fair of a 14 days cut-off.

Freddie Roach: "I have no problem with the testing whatsoever. They can do whatever (Keyword: Whatever) kind of drug testing that they want".

Dr. Don H. Catlin, the head of the Los Angeles-based non-profit Anti-Doping Research, Inc., said a 24-day cutoff for blood testing is not sufficient to prevent abuse. One of the concerns with such a long blood-testing cutoff prior to the date of competition would be the potential use of Erythropoietin, or EPO.

But Catlin said that wouldn’t be the only concern if there were a 24-day cutoff imposed.

“If you have a 24-day window that’s free, with no testing, you can take whatever you want and you’re not going to get caught, end of story,” Catlin said. “[Urine testing] does matter, yes, but they’re not going to catch everything by urine testing alone. What you would do is to take Mircera [a type of EPO], which is available and which is not easy to detect in urine and away you go. You need a blood test.”

"If they give me a 5-day window or something like that I have no problem with it," Roach said. "When they've drawn blood from Manny in the past he feels weaker for three or four days. It may be mental, but it's there."

Facts still not related to this 'momma' thread are OT. But hey, people are ignoring it so i guess its fine.

About your quotes, its taken from a team consisting of many members, of course they are bound to contradict themselves at some point. Freddie has always been talkative prior to a fight and has contradicted himself before, due to him always speaking his mind. Koncz, on the other hand has never gotten along with most members of the team, so he is bound to say things inconsistent with what Freddie says. Bob Arum, well you know him, no need to elaborate other than he is a promoter.

Bottom line is, the fact that those quotes aren't cohesive don't mean much. They are not Pacquiao's words, aren't they?

Pac has always said, he'd let his promoters do the talking.
