Finally people can stop arguing about Ruiz being above Vitali.

It's too early to say that Toney is the man right now. If you look at his opponents at the heavyweight division, it was all fighters who were literally done. Holyfield was overaged, Booker was a McDonalds employee and Ruiz was a babysitter. Toney should face more tougher opponents, like Klitschko.

In reality, he has no more claim to the #1 spot than the WBA or IBF title holder until he beats them.

And if all goes according to his plan, he wants to fight a guy that John Ruiz already beat in his next fight, whenever that may be.
      Good post.

Im not sure about Toney beating Vitali but Ruiz had beat alot of top heavys and everyone said he was a "real" heavyweight with a style that gives everyone trouble. Now Toney beats him and people say it proves nothing but it does. Ruiz is not a great fighter but he is a tough fighter to beat and a fat, not in great shape Toney showed his ring intelligence and beat Ruiz just like he said. If toney comes in shape (or in better shape he will give any hw trouble) I think Vitali would be to big but Vitali is slow and Toneys ability to invade punches might frustrate him, but eventually he will get caught. Golata will get owned and bryd will get owned. Peace

In all honesty I think Golota and Vitali would be easier opponents for Toney than Byrd. Byrd is to much of a defensive fighter and that is the kinda fighter Toney has trouble with and he has handspeed. Despite the size, Toney's fighting style is alot better for fighting guys like Vitali and Golota or any of the bigger slower more agressive heavyweights than Byrd.
Toney should avoid Byrd, and go after Klistchko or Golota even Wladimir Klistchko because everyone still is not sold that he can beat the gigantic heavyweights, I guaranteee he can.

Everyone is saying that Kiltchko needs to prove something to be the top HW in the world. At the same time you say Toney, who has 3 fights in HW against horrible opposition, is "the man". It doesnt work like that. Vitali isnt the only one who has to prove himself.

Toney got his belt from beating Ruiz, Vitali got his from beating Corry Sanders. Ruiz is better than Sanders. Sanders was a nobody journeyman except he got lucky and exposed Wlad. And Klistchko has only made one defence. He has hardly beat anybody of note recently I mean come on Cory Sanders the Journeymen who exposed Wlad he got the title from and he has defended it once against fricken Danny Williams who lost to a bunch of euro-bums at one point. How Impressive! beating Corrie Sanders and Danny Williams, wow.

Toney probably wont bother himself with Vitali anyway because Vitali is not going to get past Rahman and Toney only is interested in fighting champions.

Ruiz is the greatest fighter of his generation and will be back. Now that Toney has stolen the belt with the help of bought judges Vitali is going to knock his fat ass out with ease. It's a complete mismatch. Only Ruiz is capable of stopping the ukrainian.

I don't know of anyone saying John Ruiz should be ranked higher, or more respected, than Vitali Klitschko !

Just another "world against us" thread/topic from the Klit fans.
