urine tests have come a long way already

boxing (nor any combat sport) should have blood testing

i don't know about any boxer, but i know a lot of people that hate getting their blood taken and think they've been weaken until they eat and **** like that

having said that, commissions currently do not use the best urine tests available, nor are they random. it's beyond me why they don't implement the best procedures randomly

maybe marquez opposed to having his urine taken away

ofcourse who wouldn't.. But u know some people react differently.. just like pac's situation against morales he was draining himself to make weight and then got blood drawn 2 days prior to the fight, he felt sick and the doctors say he should drink water or eat but he couldn't do it because of the weigh in.. I think that's a big issue there.. maybe a cut off window like 5 days or something..

I majority of us want a clean fight. no cheating or what so ever. Is there a way we somebody can suggest it to the commission?

Do you think has think about it already? just wondering.

They should make it mandatory in boxing, its without question.

Dr. Don H. Catlin, the head of the Los Angeles-based non-profit Anti-Doping Research, Inc., said a 24-day cutoff for blood testing is not sufficient to prevent abuse. One of the concerns with such a long blood-testing cutoff prior to the date of competition would be the potential use of Erythropoietin, or EPO.

But Catlin said that wouldn’t be the only concern if there were a 24-day cutoff imposed.

“If you have a 24-day window that’s free, with no testing, you can take whatever you want and you’re not going to get caught, end of story,” Catlin said. “[Urine testing] does matter, yes, but they’re not going to catch everything by urine testing alone. What you would do is to take Mircera [a type of EPO], which is available and which is not easy to detect in urine and away you go. You need a blood test.”

                IMO...

No... some countries can't afford such test...

Yes... let fighters with 20+ wins undergo the test... championship fights is a must...

Johncods perhaps they could use Floyd suggestion the 14day limit. I just hope one side would lower their pride. I'm still hoping.

Perhaps it has been thought about, and rejected...

What can we do? Everything possible to make our voices heard. Write about it on forums. Write to boxing journalists. Write to newspapers. Talk about it with people. Hopefully eventually the boxing federations will feel the need to act.
