The guy has been boxing since he was old enough to walk. It's all he knows. He came back for the same reason that Jordan eventually came back to basketball.

    Its his calling.

That being said, he spends money faster than he makes it, so he was probably in need of some paper.

He wanted a big pay day with Hatton.

Hatton knocking Pac and Mayweather jr knocking Marquez.
      .that's the truth right there

If Floyd really wanted a piece of pac, he could've waited just one more day until Pac vs hatton was finished then call Pacquiao out rather than announcing JMM as your opponent on the day before the hatton vs Pac fight.

You kinda contradicted yourself...you said he came back for Hatton yet he shudda waited one day...well if he thought Hatton would win, why would he call out Pac the next day?

Quote from Roy Jones Jr. :

"Hell naw. Why change the rules on me? Because I'm coming up in weight means I'm doing steroids? They're giving you a test for that anyway. It would be something that would aggravate me because then after I beat you, I was on something, don't play with me. Either you want to fight or you don't want to fight.

Floyd was sitting back in his Vegas pad watching all the top Welterweights fight each other, then the IRS kicked his front door down and told him to pay his bills. He saw Pacquiao was moving up to 147, and realised it was a perfect opportunity to fight another small guy for a big payday.

                    It was not Pac

Mayweather jr fought Marquez, an easy fight, to get money to pay IRS.
