Clottey only shells when he gets hit by hard punchers. Guys like Cotto and Margarito make him shell up. But a guy like Corrales who doesnt have pop at 147 or Judah who was underweight and overtrained he lets his hands fly.

Mainly because Floyd never fought any top welterweights. he gets mad credit for 135-140 but I have a feeling he wont ever fight anyone that outweighs him substantially like Castillo, and we all saw what happened both those nights. Floyd didnt look as impressive.

He's the poor man's version of Ike Quartey.

He kinda reminds me of Paulie Malinaggi with his lack of a killer instinct. The only thing Clottey has over Pac is s8 up size.

Clottey is slow, plodding, predictable, has bad stamina, questionable boxing iq, little to no punching power and he's not much of a counterpuncher.

What he is is a tough as nails fighter that should be considered a GATE KEEPER.
