Breaking News: Clottey Agrees on Money for Pac Man Fight

    Dan Rafael
    (5:02 PM)

That was Vinny Scolpino, Josh Clottey's manager. He told me he and Bob talked money in the last hour or two and they have agreed on their end of the fight. He said Clottey was ecstatic and will be returning to the US from Ghana on Monday. Nothing signed yet, not official but their side is in.

    UPDATE:

Another sign Pac-Clottey is for real: I heard from a PPV industry source that Top Rank has officially offered the fight out the PPV nets, which means this is real.

147 welter fight for Manny's title is what I was told.

That was Richard Schaefer, who was reading along in the chat today when he learned that he saw me post the stuff from Clottey's manager, etc... He is very disappointed in this. I know he worked really, really, really hard to make this fight. I asked him what now for Floyd? He said he's would talk to Floyd and Al Haymon and see what they want to do. I told him to keep the faith. If you're still reading Richard, keep the faith.

        1) The fight is not won yet.
        2) Is there a catch-weight involved?

If this is a catch-weight fight I'm going to be pretty annoyed. That **** needs to stop now.

I think it will be at 147.

Cotto was just a test for Pacquiao to see if he could fight at welterweight.

The Mayweather fight was going to be at 147, so I'm sure this will be.

Since when does a fight have to be won to be included on a fighters resume?

If they fight, hes on the resume.

Or, is Roy Jones not on James Toneys resume?
Or, is Barrera only on Morales resume once?

And I agree, Dan... The catch-weight bull**** needs to stop...forever.
