Some good old American boxing know-how, particularly on the defensive end, will help the Russian. I'm excited to see the new version of Povetkin.

Matter of time before Atlas turns on him.

Why would he turn on him?

It's what Teddy does -- ask Michael Grant, who is still messed up from his dealings with Teddy. Teddy destroyed his psyche.

I didn't think Teddy trained anymore.

lennox destroyed grant & then he dislocated his ankle his next fight vs mccline.he was never the same.after the grant fight with Gilbert Martinez teddy told grant if he didn't work harder he would resign as trainer.he was worried about grants psyche & well being.teddy saw early signs of grants desire diminishing from the sport.grant got crushed his next fight by guinn.teddy just tried to put humpty dumpty back together but failed.

Povetkin isn't Grant or Moorer. If Atlas's ego gets too big i imagine Povetkin and his people would be more than quick to tell him to **** off

Grant and Moorer tended to get lazy and undisciplined which is why they clashed with Atlas.

Povetkin strikes me like the type of guy who will keep his mouth shut and work hard on what Teddy tells him to.

I'd like to see Povetkin fight another tune up or two fight before he goes for his Klitschko shot. I'm eager to see if he's changed much.
