Pacquiao don't want it with Floyd IMO

Just a horrible style matchup for Manny and Freddie would be wise to concentrate on Yuri or Paulie so Pacquiao can retire on a roll

I want the fight to happen also and believe me am no Mayweather Fan, but the olympic style testing was nothing new. MayJR made it clear he would not fight without olympic style testing before it was brought to the table and Roach even said he was cool with it anytime anywhere. So after Mayweather called on all , Unpresidently(am shocked to be honest), Pacs bluff's, even Pac's last bluff of the 10million penalty. Pac then has an issue with the random testing. MayJR even now is willing to go for 14days. I mean you got to give credit to Floyd for atleast looking like he wants this fight. Floyd has been the one adjusting, date, share, now adjusting to 14days . What has Pac compromised on? Floyd is even being sympathetic to Pacs needle phobia in giving pac two weeks to recover from a shot lol. These guys are professionals and testing shouldn't be an issue for any professional athlete.

well, it's more of a pride thing now i guess..Pac would not stoop that low and accept floyd 14 day compromise. 24 day is more than what NASC demands.but as a boxing fan, i would love Pac to accept the 14 day compromise.

I have no real expertise when it comes to drug testing of athletes. I think at best its a constant war between the drug makers and the testers, and is not an easy thing to test for when you get to the top end of athletes that can afford the best like that Balco stuff. When it comes to getting information on this issue, I think that most people high up in sport would agree that the olympic level testing is the top standard at the moment. That is, if anyone is going to catch you, chances are its their system.

I am not willing to accept the athletic commission of a state as the be all and end all of testing. While I will accept that so far, they have been the top dog when it comes to boxing, however, I think as boxing (like the world in general) becomes more global we need ever more stringent measures to ensure things are fair. I am certainly not necessarily on FLoyd's side here. I am on the side of whoever demands testing of the highest calibre. I think it needs to be instituted totally across the sport. As I mention in every second post, this is a sport where men put their lives potentially on the line to win and I dont think there is any excuse for boxing not to have the same measures to ensure play as almost every other sport professional or amateur. I dont have an opinion on who is scared of who in the mega fight that may never be. I do think boxing needs to think long and hard about things though. This is the perfect oppurtunity for the sanctioning bodies to step in and demand this level of testing for all fights in future.

Ok Mayweather has thrown down the 14-day gauntlet- this PROVES he is looking to get the fight made. Arum and Pac can keep making excuses up and trying to fight JMM or Foreman now- they are the ones running scared.
