BAYAMON - The Ponceño Mario Santiago is in the running to head in a clash for the WBO featherweight title and its rival could be Juan Manuel Lopez but he must first defeat on February 13 in Las Vegas the Filipino Bernabe Concepcion yesterday announced Ricardo Jimenez, public relations company Top Rank.

"Mario fight on Feb. 13 as Eric Morel with Gerry Penalosa. If Morel wins he will fight with Fernando Montiel and if he wins I think Mario would fight the winner of Juanma and Steve Luevano. Let's see how those fight plays out and I think it would make a good fight between them here in Puerto Rico, "he said.

Lopez, owner of the WBO super bantamweight title, will challenge on the 23 of January Steven Luevano, current king of the 126 pounds of that body, combat comes to life at Madison Square Garden in New York.

"On January 23 in New York Juanma fight pitting Luevano and seeking his second crown. Let's see how it goes in that division. We think it is their division. If all goes as we think will be a good year for him two or three fights and one of them is seeing if done on the Island Bob (Arum) wants to bring here and knows the importance of Puerto Rico " , and final settlement.

I talked to Santiago and even though this is a big chance of happening, he said, he more than likely illfight Cristobal Cruz for teh IBF title and then he will try to unify the title with whomever, more than likely Juanma at the end of the year if he beats Luevano.

Nah,men mario will beat Concepcion, KOing late. Ill be a great fight though!!!

because the fight makes perfect sense, assuming they both win in their next fights. Everyone wants to see the fight. There is bad blood. They've been co-featured together a couple times now. When does this fight makes sense? 2012?

Who the **** knows this 2, besides most people in the east coast?

This 2 have a chance of being really huge stars, theres no need to rush them into each other when in the future this fight would be a huge PPV seller and a huge attraction overall. If they finish 2010 undefeated dont you think the fight would be a blockbuster event in 2011?

This 2 have the star potential to move masses if they are promoted correctly.

Right now it woudl be a great fight for us fans, but not a great event. In te future it will still be a great fight a huge even for boxing!!!!
