Barrera can retire if he wants

...and maybe he should. He's truly done it all. He's given us everything we could ask from a fighter. Avenging the loss to Pacquiao would be a great way to go out, and it would be a huge fight, but it's not necessary. Barrera beat a better fighter than Pacquaio in Morales. He also beat Naseem Hamed, who while undoubtedly overrated, had the same kind of rep and devestating punch as Pacquaio. If he never fights Pacquaio, he'll still go down as the better fighter. Plenty of great fighters have taken beatings. Let's see if Pacquaio lasts as long as Barrera has. With his predictable style, I would bet he doesn't. Even if Barrera beats him, he'll still never avenge his loss to Junior Jones, and he'll still be ranked below Willie Pep and Salvador Sanchez on the list of great featherweights. He's had a long, great career, he's taken a lot of punishment, and the Morales fight would be a better ending than 99% of all boxers ever have.

I think no matter what he should fight pac. He could retire but then i think people will say the same thing they say about Lenniox Lewis, he went out afraid of V Klit. He can retire and be on top, but you really cant say he will be looked at as a better fighter than manny due to the fact that pac is still young and you dont know what is in store for him in the future.

Sure he could.....but why should he? He CLEARLY has ALOT left in the tank. Sure he can't beat Paquaio, but he appears to be able to carry 130 lbs.
