Floyd goes for the most money, we know that, no point in ranting, it won't change. It's not his fault the current welterweights couldn't make it to stardom by themselves. He was at a point considering undefeated Miguel Cotto but after the Margarito fight he lost interest. Both Shane and Margarito have too many losses. Marquez was the p4p #2 and Pacquiao is the p4p #1 guy so that's why he wanted them. Now if people actually gave Mayweather the credit he deserves he wouldn't feel the need to maximize the opponents so much. He wouldn't get credit for beating Shane, COME ON! He's 39 years of age! Margarito can't really fight for **** but had some very heavy hands (could be natural we'll never know). But with those many loses Floyd would get any credit as well. Williams is the only duck i think Mayweather SHOULD make because really, Williams in a yes night is a nightmare and the money, well lets just say the kid has less of a personality than Cotto.
For Floyd the question is: Who could make him +15 million for a fight? That's who he's getting. Matthew Hatton has the whole UK thing and him beating his big brother, there a storyline there which can sell the fight very well. Yes Mat sucks and he'll get KOed but to the casual fan that could be pretty interesting. And it's the casual fan who pays for ****, not us.

Agree completely. This is how Floyd thinks, not in 'ooh i'm scared to fight that guy'. Whoever brings the money and stardom. It sucks but that's just how he operates.

If he loses his 0 he won't get any money. He's smart enough to know that.
no he won't be able to get anymore easy money. easy fights against overmatched opponents for huge paydays. he will be forced to fight someone tough to make those huge paydays. and we know he does not want to do that.
