Bull****. I weighed 147 pounds and was benching over 300. BUT, Mosley still used steroids and he knew it.Comment

Being physically strong is way down the list of most important qualities a boxer should have. It's only really beneficial if you hold a lot. It did Holyfield the world of good against Tyson. But in general? Nah, it ain't that important.
Some of the stats people come out with are way beyond what most reasonably strong people can lift. It's just bragging. Look at Jeff Lacy, he's probably a beast in the weights room. It hasn't done him much good though.Comment

just cause you are limited because of your genetics doesn't mean its not possible. I myself don't think there's a high probability for it, but its possible.Comment

from yahoo answers: strongest boxer
When Tyson was 12-13, he benched something like 390 pounds while in the Tryon Detention Center, not 250. I'm not sure the "strongest" boxer in terms of lifting weight, etc., but Iron Mike is right up there. Rahman was pretty strong, he could bench over 500lbs. I remember reading somewhere that Shane Mosley benches 350 and squats 500 pounds. Not sure if that's accurate, but I know I read it from a good source. But in the end, boxing doesn't have anything to do with strength.Comment
