they were feasting on some catered food, drinking, having a good time and laughing at the fact that the promotion is going according to plan.

This would be a gigantic waste of time if they sat in a room for nine hours, had a gag order placed, and didn't make a deal.

It's shocking that people forget how true these words are. During the Pacquiao/Hatton negotiations everyone was going ape **** on Pac for demanding such a harsh split. As though he was actually not going to take a perfect fight in Hatton. During Mosley/Margarito negotiations, fans and the media were so up in arms, rumors began that Margarito had been kidnapped or had gone completely awol. If(and when) this fight gets signed, all will be forgiven like Marv Albert for biting women or Martha Stewart for insider trading.

my theory was, if after the meeting, they dont say a word to the press right away.. the fight is happening.

Unfortunately, the representatives for Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. were Buboy and Roger Mayweather. Finding a translator for Buboy was no problem, but finding a translator for Roger was what held everything up

It seems that if it took 9 hours and we still know nothing, then perhaps it is possible that they have exchanged contracts,or agreed upon something. If the refused the offer,we would have heard something by now....9 hours of negotiating with Floyd and Arum is a nightmare that thankfully not many have to endure.

floyd is trying to delay pac with the drug test issue so he can practice ahead of him, and give him less time to prepare.

Me too. I'd say they spent part of the 9 hour meeting drafting the official press release announcing the fight.
