Valero in three or there abouts. There is nothing in Demarco's record or performances to date, other than an "interim" championship going for him and Valero will annex that. What else does Demarco have, really? With so many things going against him it's hard to mention them all. Valero brings known, documented power against Demarco's interim championship, I'm betting on the power.

That's a pretty bold prediction and I'm going to have to disagree.

DeMarco is a good little boxer who has kept on improving. I'm not sure what you mean by "so many things going against him", but I think he's in with a good shot in this fight.

I really see it as a 50/50. There's only so much power can do, and Valero's lack of ring experience will find him out.

My prediction: Valero will lose this fight if he cannot KO DeMarco early.

I mean look at it this way...

Valero has boxed 58 rounds in his career.
DeMarco has boxed 111 rounds in his.

That's quite a large difference between 2 fighters with about the same number of fights. There's only so much you can learn when your keep knocking your opponent out in the first round.

I don't think Valero will have a 'Plan B' if his power gameplan falls through. DeMarco could be the type of clever boxer to take advantage of that.

Ha this isnt Pernell Whitaker, buddy. DeMarco is going to get sparked like all those before him.
Valero is the real deal. I dont know if hes a world beater, but he is an absolute monster, no illusions about it.

Sorry for all those who drank the kool-Aid of DeMarco being a boxer. The man is a fighter disguised as a boxer. Once he feels the pressure to return fire with Valero it should be a KO win for Valero.

86-6 with 57 knockouts that's Valero's Amateur career. The Power aint no joke.
Last I heard DeMarco had 13 amateur fights.

I'm not sure of the record, but to say that the 50 plus rounds he has over Valero in the pro's is something of an advantage is nonsense. If anything, it seems to me that DeMarco is a young 23 and needs more seasoning and Valero is 28 and either entering or is in the peak of his prime. He's also used to fighting in enemy territory, Won the title from the champ in Panama(130lbs), defended in Japan and Mexico.

I wouldnt be surprised if Demarco catches Valero with a knockdown because he's quite easy to catch, but Demarco is no defensive genius and its inevitable he'll be caught.(Demarco has never been down from what I know) I think the age and amateur experience will make the difference in the fight, they both have terrible habits so if a firefight errupts you gotta go with the power.

I think Antonio DeMarco is a very good and tough fighter. I give him
a shot at beating Edwin Valero.

I watched several of DeMarco's fights and he is tough. Can't
deny that BUT he will have to be aware of Valero's power for
                    sure.

I think DeMarco should bring a pillow with him to the ring because he's going to sleep just like all the others.
