I'm actually expecting Gamboa to stop Mtagwa. Gamboa is slightly better than Lopez imo. When you have more handspeed than someone you're already better than them but it just depends how you use that handspeed and Gamboa really knows how ot use it in his favor. Speed kills!

Gamboa, knows he cant trade with Mtagwa so he will just box, land combos move away and it will be so one sided that ref will stop it.

Gamboa gets KTFO by Lopez though
I don't know why people think Gamboa can't trade with Mtagwa just bc Lopez couldn't. Mtagwa isn't some kind of KO machine. It's true that his best chance of winning is to trade but that doesn't mean victory. The guy has already been stopped twice. People are making it seem like Gamboa has zero chance if he goes toe to toe. Even though Gamboa has a better shot if he boxes Rogers it doens't mean he would lose going toe to toe.

Lopez is the best guy there, Gamboa is an excellent fighter, he has all you could want except a good defense, he has many holes in his styles causing him to be able to hit you but to get hit back in the process sometimes even worse than what he hit you with, he has yet to feel the punch of a guy like Juan Ma..

speed kills, yes but you must remember as the late, great Vernon Forrest once said "timing beats speed", "when a guy is too fast use your jab", Gamboa might have the reckless speed to just throw a bomb at you but Juan Ma got the skills, he knows how to hit and not get hit better than Gamboa can and he hits like a truck too..

I like Yuriorkis, I been watching him since his 1st pro fight but honestly I think Juan Ma is too much stylistically for Gamboa who can do both Boxing and Brawling but leaves himself open too much in the process, it's only a matter of time before some capitalizes on that and makes him pay for it, Juan Ma might just be the guy to do it..

as for the thread well I think Gamboa is going to beat Mtagwa worse than how Juan Ma did, stylistically I can see Yuriorkis beating Rogers in any instance of the fight, I don't see how Rogers Mtagwa can win this fight unless Yuriorkis doesn't bring his A game which is HIGHLY unlikely..

theres no logic at all. just wanted to start a thread with some aspects to link gamboa, caballero and lopez... and Jose Rojas was the only link to them. And, because it took him 10 rounds the other day to ko him I beleive that he wont be able to ko roger.

the thing is that... this guy is a C- level fighter same as whyber garcia, not saying that juanma has been facing the top dogs... but he won his belt beating the lineal champ in pdl... and gamboa didnt..

hes a champ but he hasnt faced better comp than juanma...

juanma's chin was tested.. by a bum, some people may add but still tested. Gamboa have never been in deep waters like that... I want to see how he reacts when the little rhino keep going forward..

u do know that one of those stoppage was due to an injury and not a KO??... and the other to a guy that went 12 rounds with juan manuel marquez right?

Talk about anything boxing related here. Where the boxing discussion is always Non Stop!

im still trying to know how exactly was the other ko.....
if any body knows.. please share with us..

        thanks

I am picking Mtagwa to pull off the upset and the chinny, flashy punching Gamboa.

It's nice of Gamboa to give this guy another shot since Lopez is too chicken **** to give the man the rematch he deserves. I mean that was FOTY worthy. Gamboa shows he fears no man. JuanMa, well...

Actually, no I didn't. Interesting. Still though. I just don't see Rogers giving Gamboa problems toe to toe. Rogers lacks power and speed. Style wise Gamboa is too much for him and I think he stops him. As far as Juanma v Gamboa. I favor Gamboa but only because of his size. Juanma has the skills to beat him but Gamboa's a beast. He's bigger, stronger, and faster. Juanma's the better boxer though and I heard he had a hard time making weight, soooooo I gotta see how he looks at FW on the 23rd to give a more clear prediction.
