I don't think he will, he has speed and power sure but if Rogers can survive the first few rounds Gamboa loses a lot of real power on his punches, he still throws flashy looking punches but he really doesn't dig in.
I believe Mtagwa is tough enough to weather the early storm and survive, then be tough enough to survive the beating he takes the rest of the fight. Gamboa is going to beat the **** out of him though, arm punching or digging in.
This will be interesting. Hope I'll be getting good odds on Mtagwa , will put my money on him. Gamboa will be painfully exposed here.
You heard it here first
how can anyone tell from gamboas resume?
whyber garcia worldranked 59, jose rojas worldranked 144.
finaly a good step up mtagwa wr 11.
mtagwa is going up to meet gamboa and is not known for power
but anyone who seen him against villa knows this guy has mad heart
and can move.
don't see gamboa winning by ko.
gamboas been showing improvement but if he clowns around hands down
or gets thrown off gameplan, with gamboas help mtagwa could make this a close one.
think sportsbook oddsmakers and some of you have climbed on gamboa hype train with blinders on.
lets see.
i could see gamboa getting kod in this fight if rogers can weather an early storm aginst him gamboa will get sloppy some where along the fight and rogers could drop him and possibly stop him. i also could see gamboa winning a wide dec if he learned something from the juanma fight and doesnt get reckless like juanma did. should be a good fight either way though
I've seen most of Mtagwa's fights and he is amazingly tough. He has a solid chin for sure but even more impressive is the way he always comes firing back after being hurt, it has made for some great fights in the past against lower level opponents and even Lopez.
Gamboa has claimed he will KO Mtagwa to send a message to Lopez which can end up being a problem against a durable opponent. He could easily outbox Rogers but in a brawl anything could happen. An early KO for Gamboa would be very impressive. A safe points decision? Not so much. Billy Dib did it...
