Although Darren Sutherland died last year at age 27, the Irish boxer's contribution to the amateur game in his home country of Ireland is being commemorated with a memorial plaque in his hometown of Navan, County Meath. A true loss to boxing. Such potential, people forget his amateur record was fantastic, having fought our Olympic champion James Degale on 6 occasions, and winning on 4 of them. He would have made a genuinely exciting pro over the next 3/4 years.
