The fighter of the decade is, disputably, Bernard Hopkins. He accomplished more during this decade than any other top fighter, including Mayweather and Pacquaio. Mayweather was consistently good during the decade, but took 2.5 years off, which hurt his standing. Pacquaio is a johnny-come-lately who has been given more credit than he deserves. However, Hopkins record, including wins over Trinidad and De La Hoya, uniting the middleweight division, defeating Antonio Tarver at light-heavyweight, defeating Kelly Pavlik, Winky Wright and his close contests against Jermain Taylor (the first fight should have been a draw) and Joe Calzaghe (should have been a draw also), while fighting past his prime cannot be matched by anyone. If Hopkins had fought Jones in a rematch and Chad Dawson and won, he would deserve this title hands down.
This is my opinion, even though I am a Floyd Mayweather fan.
