If you were Amir Khan, who would you fight next?

Amir Khan's next mandatory challenger is Marcos Maidana, but would you relinquish your title to go for the big money fights?? should khan fight Malignaggi, Juan Diaz etc instead of the risky Maidana fight

also, why was Dmitry Salita pushed ahead of Maidana in the rankings to fight Khan first??? doesn't make sense

He should fight Maidana, but I would like to see him fight Malignaggi.

Malignaggi poses little threat to khan because he has no power and Khanwill most likely outbox him, and i have a feeling if he takes a money fight with Malignaggi people will be calling him a ducker cause he didnt fight the power hitter Maidana cause Khan's chin is suspect

if he knew he was gonna vacate his belt and not fight maidana why did he take the farce of a mandatory against salita in the first place? he could have vacated before that fight and foughten someone worthy. he's basically trapped.

The system is set up so that a champion has to fight his alloted mandatory defences. Khan's management made a song and dance about Khan facing a "tough" mandatory defence against then unbeaten Salita. Khan can out box Maidana who is far more dangerous than Salita. The PR machine behind Khan has made claims that he was weight drained at lightweight when he got KOd by Prescott but at light welter weight his chin is sound. If they really believe this is the case Maidana should be an easier fight than Malignaggi who is a soft hitter but a far better boxer. If Khan vacates the title he has to win it back fairly soon to keep the gravy train going and it is hard to imagine that he will be able to get an easier title fight than Kotelnik. For this reason he should fight Maidana, there is risk here as Maidana has a punchers chance but Khan's boxing skills are far better and with the right strategy Khan should win.
