Cotto's father dead?

heart attack apparently. he came out of his car asking for help, then collapsed and died.

Cotto and his father appeared to be very close. I remember his father giving him words of encouragement after the 5th round of the Pacquiao fight and Miguel kissing him on the cheek. I can't get that image outta my head.

I'm thankful of 24/7 in the sense that the boxing world was able to see how great of a man he was and the love the Cotto family had for each other.

I just saw Cotto on the news and he looked in pretty bad shape. Her mother was on the floor and Cotto was by her side. This is really sad and my prayers go with him and his family.

I have to say that I was genuinely impressed with Cotto SR’s relationship he had with his son, if there was ever a model to what a father/son relationship should be I think that would be it for me.

It has been reported throughout the media in Puerto Rico that Miguel Cotto’s father passed away this morning. Miguel Cotto Sr. is believed to have died from a heart attack. According to police, the senior Cotto, who carried an oxygen machine due to asthma, felt ill, stopped the car and asked for help before collapsing. *********.com sends our deepest sympathies to the Cotto family.

RIP Cotto Sr, and thanks for bringing us an extreme talented boxer and Great prizefighter. Without your help, im sure Cotto wouldn't be were he is.
