Comments Thread For: Amir Khan vs Marcos Maidana Ordered, Confirms Warren

Promoter Frank Warren has confirmed what BoxingScene.com has been reporting for the last few weeks, the WBA has ordered junior welterweight champion Amir Khan to defend his title against interim-champion Marcos Maidana. Khan will have to make a big decision. He will either defend his title against one of the most dangerous punchers at the weight in Maidana, or vacate the title to take a fight with less danger but bigger dollar signs. HBO is very interested in a Khan-Maidana fight. [Click Here To Read More]

I highly doubt Khan would take this fight.

But if he does, He gets mad respect from me.

When i watched Maidana vs. Ortiz over, i saw that Ortiz let Maidana beat him. He tried to fight toe to toe with him and got caught to many times. But Punchers like Maidana, you could never count out.
I would take Khan by Decision, but Khan's chin is suspect but that was at lightweight. Maidana just needs to connect and he could turn the fight around.

Do the right thing, Khan lad. I was there cheering you on like a son in Newcastle - don't let me down now.

                  You won't be wrong. :conf3:

However, I'll show them up by digging through all their previous posts where they clamoured for a Maidana KO. They'll look like a right bunch of plebs.

This fight Would Prove that Khan has some Balls and whether or not Khan can last with a decent puncher. And if he wins, we might be able to brush off the Prescott fight as a fluke. But if Khan gives up his belt to avoid this fight with Maidana, it would seem as if He is scared to get back in the Ring with a Puncher. A****** Promoters also seem quick to Rush the 23year old Khan into Big Money Fights and capatialize on his Career quickly, as if they dont expect him to be on top much longer. We expect Mayweather, PacMan and Marquez to be able to dictate who they fight because they have Paid their dues and fought other Great fighters in Great Matches. But for Khan to think he can do the same, without having to pay any dues against other Top Notch Fighters, is rather Obnoxious. That being Said, i hope Khan Signs to fight Maidana because even if he loses, he would earn more respect from me than Beating any Salita out there.
