I have a funny feeling berto is going to get this. I think the margarito fight was the last hurrah of Mosley's great career that's why he was so eager to fight pac or floyd it came to the point of begging because he thinks he don't have time left. Just my thoughts though. I want mosley to prove me wrong. If berto wins though, I think its via UD, but if mosley wins its either late TKO or UD.
berto-mosley-how do you see it playing out

The only thing that makes me think that Berto might stand a chance in this fight is he fought a pretty good fight against David Estrada who Mosley looked apathetic against. But Estrada was past his sell by date by the time he fought Berto and he had just come off a war with Kermit Cintron and he went on to get beat by Soto Karauss. That's the only performance by Berto that I would say that he might be the real deal. But even there he still had leaky defense and got hit a lot in that fight.
One thing that sticks out to me is that Berto came into the press conference looking out of shape and pudgy. Mosley has looked really good ever since he's been out of the ring like when we've seen him making appearances on the fight cards on VS. I don't know what it is, but I see this mental weakness in Berto and lack of drive that I think is gonna do him in against Shane Mosley.Comment

I like this fight. And I'll tell you why....
Berto was earmarked early as a future star. He's had a rocky climb to where he is now, being dropped by an unheralded Cosme Rivera and eaking out a close decision against the unfavoured Luis Collazo. However wins are wins and Berto has shown recent glimpses of the talent that caused so many to rave about him early on in his career. Berto is the kind of fighter that is looking for that career defining performance against a ranked star. Mosley will provide him with that opportunity.
There's little left to say about Shane Mosley, he's ****** with the best of them and just when we thought it was time for him to say goodbye he annihilated the heavily favoured Antonio Margarito. Shane can **** that's a given, but he also holds some deft boxing skills and is a master of wrangling his opponents and punching off the clinch.
Berto's style is favoured by judges, he punches in bunches. Shane has serious power and he will catch you eventually. If Shane can get his timing right I see a stoppage in his favour. If Berto can get his footwork right and matches Shane for strength on the inside I see him taking a decision.Comment

I believe in the early rounds there will be alot of cautiousness with both fighters trying to get an outside advantage. Berto might edge Shane out early with his youth and quickness but Shane is a veteran and will go to plan B in the middle rounds which will be alot of inside fighting and alot of holding. Shane has the edge here and could possibly rock Berto in rounds 8-10. Shane has to watch Berto's vicious uppercuts and if he does then he wins by ugly decision.

I actually have a feeling Shane could get this done early - maybe within 4 or 5 rounds.
Berto looked very vulnerable against Collazo - way too easy to hit at times, chin is very suspect, he's also poor at fighting on the inside. I think Mosley will catch him with something big and the ref will stop it for a Mosley TKO inside 5.Comment
