The purse bid for his fight with Brudov was delayed.

Both sides requested an extension and they got it.

That will be his next fight.

Don King isn't exactly getting his guys fights these days. I agree. It's too bad Jones and King couldn't get a good fight after his last win.

I would think he'd be popular now in Germany where he took the title by ko.

He hasn't fought since Sept 2008 when he won it.

Damn that is way way too long......I think 8-9 month is the max time a belt holder should be allowed to be inactive before being stripped, fair?

Yeah. Remember how long the WBC had Vit as the champ even though he was injured. Then they elevated him to emeritus champ so it's just not the WBA.

I would think two title defenses a year should be the minimum.

I know they shouldn't have legitimized him as a champion against Sam Peter it wasn't necessary and disrespectful to Sam. They didn't need to do that because Peter vs Vitali was an interesting enough fight where enough ppl thought big Vit could still win off of a long layoff anyway.

This what I like about Cotto and Wlad they stay active as champions.
