This is all posturing from Bob Arum and psychological warfare.Arum gave an ultimatum saying if Mayweather didnt concede last Monday he would sign Malignaggi.Mayweather didnt concede but still Arum didnt sign Malignaggi.There was an issue with the 30 day signing issue and Arum said he would recommend Manny to accept the fight only if Mayweather asked him to.This is just a fight of egos.Manny feels he needs to be recognised everytime he negotiates.He did this with DelaHoya and Hatton.The fight was called off in both circumstances after the other parties had given in.
Arum issued another statement saying Mayweather had to drop down his demands for a blood test on Monday or else he would find someone else.We have been here before,anyone can see right through Arum.There is one consistant thing in all this,Mayweather has to give up something.That way Manny feels he is in control.Manny will start training on Tuesday in Carlifonia.Of course he is training for Mayweather.There is no fool in heaven or earth who will turn away from $40m,Arum loves money more than Mayweather and he wont let that happen.If Mayweather decides to drop the demands Manny feels good ,if he goes on with the demands Manny will say 'In the interests of clearing my name I have decided to do the blood tests.' Manny is going no where,this is just posturing.Forget the lawsuit,he's just trying to use it to control the Mayweathers.That way there wont be much talking in the period approaching the fight.Lawsuits are very common in boxing and they are always used as an intimidating tool.Frank Warren and Don King use them a lot to control fighters.Frank Warren sues anyone who says anything he doesnt agree with.
Whichever way you look at it the fight will be announced on Monday,I bet all my 5000points on it.
