    I've changed my stance.

I've been really railing Manny in my head the last week for not agreeing to take these tests. I stand by the fact that he shouldn't let this mega-fight die over a few tablespoons of blood. I mean, it's really made me feel uncertain about Pacquiao, what he could be doing, and his real reasoning behind the refusal. That hasn't changed. I really wish the guy would just suck it up and take the tests.

I get the feeling he won't, though. This has really dragged on and Manny seems pretty adamant about not letting this fight go through on Mayweather's proposal for the random testing. The fight might not happen. I mean, imagine all the excitement you felt when you read the announcement that it was signed on the homepage.

Now let that die. Let the disappointment really set in. Imagine the headline 'Mayweather-Pacquiao officially off' and reading about one of the other proposed fights.

So, I've begun to start contemplating Pacquiao-Malinaggi, Pacquiao-Foreman, Maywather-Mosley, or Mayweather-Berto. The latter two are most interesting to me.

Still...anything but this fight leaves me with a slightly bitter taste in my mouth for 2010. Boxing was so close to delievering a hayemaker to MMA, to being back into a second cycle of glory days. We were so close and it's all slipping away - so, honestly, I have to admit my stance has changed.

Let's say Manny Pacquiao really and truly won't take the tests.

There is only one question you have to ask yourself, then. Can a PED using Manny Pacquiao really look any better than he did against Cotto? The way Manny seemed to have size we never imagined, and the endurance and speed to use it with his pop; if we imagine that is a roided up, PED pumped boxer- can he look any better?

I don't think so. Even if he's using EPO or some PED, I think he'd have to have used it in his last fight. So, answer this:

Would you put that Manny Pacquiao into the ring with Floyd?

If you think Floyd Mayweather could stand to compete and not risk his entire career or long-term health, despite Manny's possible use of anything; should Floyd allow this to slip away?

Someone has to give. This isn't looking good.

I don't think Manny can look much better than he did against Cotto. I think, even if he's on something, he was using it to the fullest extent that night. It can't get any better than that.

So, really, if we're talking about Mayweather-Pacquiao not happening or someone caving; why not Floyd?

Maybe it's illogical of me, but it's the flip side to those who back Manny saying, "I don't think he's on anything, but take the test and just beat his ass when you test clean."

It's the, "I concede Manny might be on something, but I think Floyd can handle even that version of Manny, so make him test up to his 24-day window and then beat his ass."

I don't want them to let this get away.....so, if there is no other alternative, I think Floyd should just get into the ring and have another day at the office.

    Any thoughts?

Dont forget that Julio Cesar Chavez jr tested positive for PEDs when he fought on the Pacquiao-Cotto undercard while all other fighters including Pacquiao tested negative.

that would have been understandable if floyd didn't yap about he can whoop pacman's ass roids or no roids!

and to be honest, as a pacfan, there is a big chance he can, just as the pac has a chance. but floyd has to stack all the advantages in his favor. that is his problem. it is well documented that he messes up his opponent mentally even before fight night. Good luck to him

If that is true of Chavez, then I'm not impressed. Who now knows what he took in his previous fights?

Yeah you know why he refused the tests?? Not because he's on something. It's because USADA were hired by the Mayweathers!!! Would you trust a corrupt family like the Mayweathers?? Would you let them tarnish your name if you were Pacquiao by tampering the results YOU gave in honesty?? If you answered Yes, then you need to look in the mirror and call yourself an idiot.

I think majority of readers in this forum are realizing that this fight will not happen unless the party involved arrive with an out of court settlement. This forum has its contribution for this fight not to happen. Unless, of course GBP has people in this forum and now try to soften the issue. Nevertheless, these positive approach will help both parties go back to negotiating table and remain quiet until contract is acceptable to both parties and signed.

Then boxing fans can have this fight.
