    Robert Stieglitz vs. Manny Siaca?

It is rumored on some websites that former WBA super middleweight titleholder Manny Siaca, age 34, will be fighting Robert Stieglitz on Jan 9.

Edison Miranda was supposed to fight Stieglitz, but backed out of the fight saying he has the flu. Siaca, from Puerto Rico, defeated Anthony Mundine in 2004 to win the WBA title, but lost it later the same year to Mikkel Kessler.

Saica's coming off a first round KO win in 2009. He's probably as good an opponent as could be expected on one week's notice.

IDK how good Siaca is but I don't have that high an opinion of Stieglitz.....I really thought this would have been easy work for Miranda.

Siaca (WBA #11, WBC #13) isn't an elite fighter, but he's not bad. He does have that win over Mundine in the WBA title fight in 2004.

Could he win here? I notice he has a decent ko% and Stieglitz has been stopped twice before.

          It's possible...

It would mean another Puerto Rican world titleholder.
