I like Marquez, I think he is a class act. But the guy is coming off of a shutout loss to Floyd, where he was even knocked down. As great as Marquez is, I think he is past his prime. What will this really prove for Manny, especially if he does not beat him as convincingly as Floyd did? Hey fight somebody else, I would much rather see him fight Bradley or even a Zab Judah.

The fight is not going to happen. Marquez is under GBP. Poor Marquez, he is getting old and really wanted to cash in fighting Pacman, but thats not possible. ODH will not allow it. Atleast he made a couple of millions fighting PBF, but there is no other fight there right now that will guarantee him another couple million dollars.

JMM will not believe that Pac is on PED otherwise he did not ends up competitive against Pac in their 2 outings! If GBP won't believe JMM and they would still insists for ramdom blood tests then JMM should vault out from GBP clout for more cash out in meeting Pac for trilogy!

If floyd lose the case, then he will be broke. And if I am Pacman, I think I will just watch floyd fight for nickel and dime against cherry pick opponents. I will not give him the satisfaction of making million of dollars again. And if I do fight floyd, the purse sharing would be 90 - 10 in my favor.

But please bear in mind that JMM is a Golden Boy Fighter and it was Golden Boy Promotions idea along with Leonard Ellerbe to hold firm on the Olympic style testing, so why wouldn’t they take an equal approach for any of their other GBP fighters in regards to facing Manny?

Because it would provide ammunition to Pac's legal team that they are truly singling him out and damaging his name further by insinuation. And they'll have more basis for asking for even bigger penalties for additional lost revenues and all. It's spite for spite, and GBP is gonna get crushed.

I think it has way more to do with the fact that Marquez cant bring his world-class skills to higher weight classes. He's still extremely good, but his shine is at really 130-135. Diaz didnt have ****, but he was way stronger than JMM, and Juan put his skills to work to find a way to win. A 140 fight would be tremedous competition for Pac, IMO.

Either way; the Marquez fight is a good idea the same way the Mayeather fight was a good idea: It's a fight the fans want to see. Boxing needs as many of those as it can get.
