The Allan Green Sakio Bika fight in my view is one of these instances that drastically effects the future of a weight division. Much like the Bradley/Holt fight where the winner would go on to the top of the 140lb division and the loser would have such a hard time coming back. We had the green prospect Bradley and titlist Holt who though dangerous doesn't have much of a fan base and has had set backs...without a belt he would have hard time getting big fights.....Bradley won proved he is the goods and is now by most viewed as the #1 140lber in the world. Holt on the other hand is off the map for the time being.
In regards the Green and Bika they are both in this middle ground between potential top fighters at 168 and journeymen. The winner can only move to title fights and top 5 opponents and the loser of this will be at the back of the line as they are both dangerous, have little fan bases, and as a result have hard times getting big fights......I think situations like these are uncommon and should be emphasized when they do occur.
