1. He will be fighting Pac on March 13th...
2. HBO will not agree to televise an international fight on tape delay - and
it's unlikely that Sky TV will agree to televise it at 3/4 am in our time.
3. The fight will not PPV in England and I would be astonished if the yanks
would pay for it either - leaving GBP/PBF dependant on a licence fee -
how much would that be???
4. Whilst Matt is an ok fighter he is far from anything special and has been
beaten by other domestic level operators. He is not rated highly over here
and due to his better known and more talented brother receives (IMO
unfairly) harsh critism for his shortcomings. The fight would be considered
a miss-match and a joke - which it would be.
5. His last fight was a draw against an old Lovemore Ndou(who was nothing
special his prime either)
6. If PBF thinks he is going to come to England and fight a nobody and ram
out a venue he is mistaken. If it takes place in say a 20, 000 seater I
would be surprised if more then 6,000 turn up. He is popular over here
after the Hatton fight, but he is no Tyson (who's been pretty much the
only US fighter to come over and knock over a journeymen and pack a
venue in this kind of event.
7. Who is going to promote the fight?? GBP have never promoted anything
over here before (apparent from in association to a lead promoter).
M.Hatton fights under the family company (Hatton Promotions) so it could
only be a joint venture - would Floyd be happy with this?
8. Floyd will be fighting Pacman on March 13th...
There are a million reasons why this wont happen but anybody with half a brain will get the picture.
