He claims he want to be champion. Wasn't he a champion several times with alphabet belts? Should someone tell him these belts mean nothing and it's just alphabets? Anyone can make these belts you know?
Also, isn't the reason why he's fighting overseas is because promoters int he U.S. don't want the liability risks involved if something happens to Holyfield, isn't it? Insurance money for hospital is only $10K, and another $10K for his family if he dies, this may vary, but this is the liability insurance/standard rate like a car insurance, etc.
And the U.S. commissions probably do not want him fighting here in case something happens to him, boxing won't get another black eye. Boxing only gets a black eye if it's a big name fighter dies, not the club fighters that die yealy. If a big named fighter dies, Congress steps in, changes rules, and might eventually go into banning the sport, but banning is too harsh.
