I had him beating Taylor and Vargas. I haven't seen the Simon fight in 2 years. I should watch it today. He is a HOF fighter. Might be the 3rd best 154 lbs fighter ever.

    1. McCallum
    2. Hearns
    3. Winky

He shouldn't have fought Williams coming off a 2 year layoff. Hop was to big for him and Winky looked fat at 170. I guess those 2 were money fights for him. So I can't blame him.

I agree with you. He can still make a case @ MW though.

Do you think if Pavlik can't make a deal with Williams or Sturm. That they will fight Winky over Martinez?

I don't think Pavlik will be an easy fight for Winky. Activity has been Winky's problem for a minute. Williams and Sam Soliman threw a lot of punches and bothered Winky. Pavlik is slow, but he throws lots of punches

I believe he deserves a HOF spot. Winky was always one of my favorites he did really well for himself without a lot of natural athleticism a lot o.f fighters possess. He wasn't a big puncher and he wasnt extremely fast but he was a very very good fighter.

Pavlik definitely will not be an easy fight for Winky but he can make Pavlik work coz of his unusual defense and southpaw stance.

Winky needs 2 or 3 tune-ups, but I think he can deal with it the same as how he dealt with Mosley & Trinidad. More on Mosley cause during that time Mosley is still younger and he was trading punches with Winky.

              I agree with you.

The one thing I noticed in the Mosley fight was how strong Winky was. When Mosley would try to clinch. Winky would push him half way across the ring. Mosley is a strong cat. But seeing Winky do that. Was suprising to me
