For the record, I blame both Floyd and Manny for not making the fight. I blame Floyd (moreso Ellerbe and Al Haymon) for putting blood tests as a contractual stipulation. This was the last point to an almost agreed contract between the two top pound for pound fighters.
I blame Manny for not taking the blood tests. As a Filipino, I understand his reasoning for not taking any blood tests. It wasn't because he had something to hide, it was because of his principles. Filipinos are known for not kowtowing to other people. BUT this is not an excuse. He is fighting an American in an American state. Manny may state that he was feeling weak during the first Morales fight but what he fails to realize is that he was also draining himself to make weight at the same time. Because he wouldn't take the blood tests, not only did it make Manny look bad, it damaged his reputation.
Arum, Roach, and Ariza then still had to say **** that began to add more question marks upon Manny's reputation. From Team Mayweather, Richard Schaefer began saying that Manny had to take the blood tests when earlier last year he said the opposite thing about Shane Mosley. Not only did it make Team Mayweather look bad, it turned them into hypocrites. Oscar De La Hoya added his two cents and it made him look like a hypocrite as well.
Now the fight is dead with Pacquiao looking to fight 154 lb. paper champion Yuri Foreman or another Manny PED accuser Paulie Malignaggi at 140. Both are idiotic fights to say the least. If he's pound for pound, Arum would make agreements with Paul Williams or Sergio Martinez to fight him. Even 140 lb. champion Tim Bradley would be an amazing fight to Manny's already incredible legacy. If he fought any of these three guys and beat them, not only would he show that he's better than Mayweather, he'd show that he'd fought ANYONE.
Mayweather is even worse looking to fight the inferior brother of Ricky Hatton, Matthew, or the redhead Mexican, Saul Alvarez. If Manny's fights are idiotic, then Mayweather's is downright ******ed.
Now Pac has a lawsuit with Team Mayweather that is ****** to say the least. It won't prove anything. It won't prove that he's clean.
For anyone saying that "Oh, Pac is scared to fight Floyd" or "Floyd is scared to fight Pac." They're both scared to fight each other. If Pac wasn't scared, he would've just bit the bullet and took the tests. If Floyd wasn't scared, he wouldn't even have brought up the blood test stipulation.
