Simms has a style similar to Kevin Johnson.

He's not too difficult to win a decision against due to his mediocre work rate, but he's completely focused on defense and very difficult to hit. Hard-punching Troy Ross, an underrated cruiserweight, couldn't cleanly hit him.

Sauerland has wisely chosen an opponent who will give Frenkel some rounds.
