They were testing out if he could hang at 147 with that one. Now it is very obvious he can. The 145 weight helped Cotto as well. If the fat Cotto with a soft midsection came in that fight he probably wouldn't be able to run until round twelve.

If they wanted a real 154lbs fighter they should face Sergio Martinez but they wouldn't dare, instead they can fool the general public and becomes a "world" champion in an 8th division.
