I was watching a documentary on HBO about Joe Frazier and the commentator said that they "stole" the idea of Rocky from Joe Frazier. Joe Frazier was talking about how he used to be a butcher and how he used to punch the sides of beef.

One of the sad things the commentator brought out was they erected a statue of Rocky, a fictitious boxing hero character, and don't pay homage to their real boxing hero that help put Philly on the map.
