Why do people say,

and what exactly do people mean by that?

If its purely about money, ok, I can understand seeing as everything costs dramatically more than it did 50 years ago. But to that I say, "why does that even matter to you if you're not getting any, and how does it affect the outcome of the fight?"

If its about impact, I don't see this fight being bigger than Louis-Schmelling, Hearns-Leonard, or even Ali-Frazier.

I have a bit more to say, but I'll leave that out for now.

Thats really about the only thing I can think of, and even then, DLH-Floyd was the biggest PPV fight in history and we all know how that turned out.


I'm just curious as to why this phrase keeps being thrown out there basically disregarding the history of past clashes which have been far more significant.

As I said, if its the money, I don't see why its even a selling point when only a few people are going to be cashing a check.
