... remember when people here were having a pop at Danny over using an "excuse" after the Klitschko fight.
Here's Danny after someone asked him the question on his website:
"Firstly I would like to say whether you like it or not the injury to my shoulder is sincere, whether or not I have to have an operation on my shoulder, I will not know for certain until after I meet with my consultant in a few weeks time. Secondly, I have never ever said that my shoulder injury caused me to lose the fight, at the end of the day I have ALWAYS said that Klitschko was the better man. If I wanted to use injuries as an excuse I think my eye injury, which was quite a significant injury would have been a better excuse to use - don't you think? The fact of the matter is that I did not want anyone to know about my shoulder because I knew people - like yourself, would think it was an excuse, but the truth is details about me going for an MRI scan on my shoulder were leaked and it became news. I know this may not be what you want to hear but its the truth. "
He does say "Best Wishes" at the end, so he's quite polite. Quite a decent site, they don't just use the suck-up e-mails for "Danny's Mailbag", there's loads that criticise him and he answers honestly.
