Burley was too skilled and to powerful.
Nobody wanted to fight him, he was frozen out.
Blacks wasnt getting a chnace back then like they shouldve been.
SRR was enough to deal with, you think the powers that be wanted two SRR's.Comment

And from what I read sounds like SRR was due for ass whooping.
“I’m too pretty to fight Charley Burley.”
SRR
You know what that means.Comment

Is a shame that Charles Burley never got his shot. He would of been ranked way higher if the elites at the time would of fought him. I still rank him in the top 50 with his wins over Fritzie Zivic, Cocoa Kid, and Archie Moore. But, if he would of had more opportunities then he could of been even greater.Comment

"Charley Burley didnt bring enough to the table. he doesnt have a whole country behind him. he has never been the A side."Comment

Wow that is quite a statement. At MW Burley would of gave SRR hell. I still pick SRR. I honestly there evenly skilled. But, with SRR height and reach advantage would of gave SRR the edge. Plus Burley got dropped by Lloyd Marshall (who should be in the HOF by the way), and Ezzard Charles... So his chin might of failed against SRR... But, then Marshall and Charles were naturally bigger guys... soo... it could be a pick'em fight really.

Ey in all seriousness....
Do you think a Prime Roy Jones beats SRR?Comment

Well I argue with my dad all the time that a Prime RJ wouldve beat Robinson at any weight.
Who do you think beats Robinson from history...a prime robinson.
Another argument me and dad get in is when I say Mayweather wouldve beat Pryor.
Pryor was too aggressive and that plays into Floyds hands.Comment
