They had some crazy stuff.... They are lucky they didn't have blood testing, matter of fact there even more lucky they didn't have the internet. A bunch of buffoons would of tried to diminished everything they accomplished.

What disturbs me is that no boxing writer has mentioned all the fighters that have started young at a very low weight & ended up fighting at such high weights.

i mean look at all the answers we got in the history section. yet not a single boxing writer has mentioned it as a possible defense for pacquiao.

And, then Jack Dempsey straight out ducked him.
And, you have to look at stuff like that. And, I am not even Asian. I am Latino. Just for the record.
Johnson fought Langford for the Negro Heavyweight Title, not the real one. Once Johnson won the real HW Title he ducked all the blacks, Langford, Mcvey, Jeanette

You sure you don't mean Harry Wills? And Dempsey signed to fight him more than once, Wills management were notoriously difficult to negotiate with and Rickard wasn't keen on it.

just pm cliff rold the history thread. hopefully he writes about it & fans are more aware that pac is not the first fighter in history to succeed in multiple divisions & pac on the lbs without turning to baseless steroid accusations to rationalize his success in higher weights.

You right Johnson and Langford fought for the colored title...

And, no I mean Langford. I know Dempsey signed to fight Willis at least twice. And, one of the fight was suppose to happen in New york. From what I have read was the Mayor or Governor of New york did not want to sanctioned the fight.

Naa. They're avoiding history now because they're being pwned
left and right. They're back to their usual "Pac refuses tests,
                  therefore he's guilty" argument.

what pac is doing is nothing new. its been done before way back then. only difference is pac is getting belts in divisions that didnt exist back then. there's been plenty of fighters that have put on weight & traversed through much higher weight classes & poundage than pacquiao.

I'm sure this has been mentioned in the previous 12 pages, but the 3rd and 4th fighters on that list have tested positive for steroids.
