Judging by the weird reactions to some of my posts, it seems a lot of posters aren't aware of the story of Pacquiao's alleged meeting with "god", in which "god" came down from "heaven" and talked to him directly.

In this exchange, "God" promised him super powers in the sport of boxing in exchange for eternal trust and belief in him.
This is exactly what supposedly happened with Robert Johnson when he was at the crossroads in Mississippi. But the tale of Johnson is of him trading his soul to the devil for the ability to play guitar like no other.
People say Robert Johnson was as ****ty a guitar player as could be heard back then. Then all of the sudden, Robert Johnson went out on his own for one year and vowed that when he came back he'd prove all his doubters wrong.
Son House can attest to this. When Johnson appeared the next year, he was playing guitar like nobody had ever heard. The legend says that he traded his soul to the devil for the ability to play guitar like an immortal legend. Most of his songs are about this fateful choice.
The same story appears again in talking about Jimmy Page and his dealings with Aleister Crowley, who appears to have been his liaison to the darkside.
We can look at Pacquiao's trajectory much the same way as both Johnson and Page.
From basic 1-2 fighter getting beat in the lower classes, to basic 1-2 fighter with super powers at higher weights, and done within a span of time that is seemingly impossible without some sort of "divine" or "chemical" intervention.
Demons like to pretend they are one of us. Perhaps when Pacquiao was talking to that group of people about his personal meeting with "God" he was telling them 99% of the truth and leaving out the part about "God" being in reality, Satan himself.
