Haha...everyone is still going around the same damn circle about this. Over and over and over, everyone is just saying the same things back and forth, no matter what thread you go into.

I've followed along for a while now, but I just can't hold my tongue any longer...probably should have though.

Let's entertain these thoughts for a bit...

    - Every top athlete out there is being given some sort of "banned" substance wether they know it or not (I would prefer that they know about it)

    - The Commisions of the world are well aware of this, thus the ancient testing meathods that are not able to catch the mega drugs of this new age

    - Why? Bigger, stronger, faster fighters giving more edge to todays fights. The fans want blood, wether or not you want to admit it...it's human nature(this is why MMA took off).

    - Let's not foget that boxing is a business, everything is done to make money, EVERYTHING!

    - Team Mayweather's insistence on the blood testing could be one of two things or maybe even both. One, to give him a 50/50 chance of getting out of a lawsuit that they new was coming long before we did. Two, if the above is anywhere close to being accurate then he knew by demanding this that Team Paquiao would refuse, just as they would have if Paquiao's team sang that tune first. Good move by Team Mayweather, they get out of a fight they possibly can't win, at the same time causing all the drama you see going on now.

I think they should just let the flood gates open on all this PEDs stuff if you ask me. I mean, what's the big deal? Why do they even make these kinds of drugs if athletes aren't suppoded to use them? **** the moral issue, there shouldn't be one...every individual can make their own decisions. **** the bleeding hearts of the world that worry too much about **** they have no business worrying about. Let the athletes know what they are getting into and then let loose the drugs of war!

Im pretty sure they both have used performence enhancing drugs in there careers.Look at mayweathers pic on the home page and his face looks kinda wierd(forehead area),and if u really look carefully at some of his pics u wouldbe surprised at how enlarged his jaw is,but comon boxing is one of the most competitive sports that tere is,and thats jus what people do for fortune and fame,so lets not fool ourselves, even women in the olypics have used them, and the mayweathers are the last people i would trust!

Drugs are made to cure sick people. It isn't made for athletes.......

The moral issue if doping was allowed is that it harms your body in the long term and they can be particularly harmful and perhaps fatal in boxingmatches as roided athletes can continue taking punishment longer than they would have been able to had they not been juicing.

It sounds like the Nevada commision was ordered by Arum to ask Pac for a pee test to try and save his image. But, a urine test will not find Ped's and everyone knows it.

Well, that's part of my point. Let the individual decide if they want to put themselves in harms way like this. It's not up to me or you to worry about these peoples well being. They're grown men, they can do that on their own.

The sad thing is, that most of these athletes may have no idea that they're being given this stuff. They trust their trainers and expect that they would not jeopardise their health and career. The trainer does his/her job and the athlete does the same. Which is why I stated before that if such a theory was accuarte, I would prefer to know that the athletes themselves know what they are taking, and made the decision to do so.

                  the boxing truth

                  someone posted it previously:

                  theboxingtruth.com/article.php

                  read it.

                  Radio interview on Shade 45:
RA The Rugged Man : youtube.com/watch?v=YA-W01zhHbM&feature=related

                  listen.

                  IMO:
floyd is a great fighter. one, however, who has not fought a legitimate welterweight to this day. one who wants to fight another hatton, in england. one who claims to be all about the "money" and calls hatton's promoters several times, rather than finalizing a fight with pacquiao. one who cares not about legacy or you fight fans. he doesn't care about you. not like hopkins, who fights the best, at whatever age he's in, with expectations of a win or fear of a loss. not cotto, who fights everyone you throw at him. floyd fights no names. he fights people who we all know he could kill. why is he undefeated? cause he hasn't fought anyone that really threatened his position. cotto? promotional problems. ducked. mosley? too big. ducked. margarito? too little money. ducked. he doesnt do it for the fight fans. might as well not fight at all. retire again. i agree, floyd is not a very likeable guy, personally. but floyd is a great fighter. it ends there. not the best. not the current pound for pound king. not the fighter of the decade. none of that.

pacquiao. as much as i respect the man. he needs to man up for the fans. i want him to. i want to see this fight. he's taken a needle on pacquiao-hatton 24/7 for a physical. he can draw blood again. but i do think too close to the fight is not a good idea. i've seen the reactions at the hospital. urine is the safer test. and urine detects pretty much all PEDs. so to assume pacquiao is on some alien juice is really stretching it. yes, not taking the tests does lead the general, although be-it ignorant audience, to assume that he is taking PEDs. that is the general audience. experts are experts for a reason. scientists, boxing experts, no one with the education on the matter thinks he is. mayweather sr. does. my point exactly. so don't jump the gun. as much as i want the man to take the tests already, he remains innocent until proven guilty. if it turns out he is taking them, then we react then.

so now he's adhering to the nevada ruling. hopefully, this is the end of it.

                  march 13.
