    Let's be real.

Both fighters are clean. No one really believes Manny is on roids and the same with Floyd. We all know Mayweather camp's reason for these allegations. He wanted to piss him off, destroy his legacy, and disrupt his flow during training. I honestly believe Manny doesn't know what's going on. He definitely doesn't know how to handle these types of situations that Floyd is putting him through and as a result, he's coming off as naive and a little bit suspect. Both sides just need to compromise and get this fight done. Agree? Unless ya'll wanna see Mayweather vs Hatton and Manny vs Paulie in March...

This whole thing is ******ed, and the fact that the press is hanging (and reporting) on their every move is even more ******ed.

I can't say I'm surprised though, especially with Bob Arum. He loves the spotlight and has a history of running to the press without a clear head and alienating his fighters.

What a ****ty and disappointing way to end an otherwise great year of boxing.

I kinda wish they would've kept these negotations private. I think Arum did alot of damage by coming out with his own statements. The fact that his public statements contradicted what Manny was saying shows total lack of communication. I gotta admit, Mayweather's team handled this very well.

        Did GBP make public statements?

Right. The GBP team has been in the press as well though.

This fight got so much attention by the mainstream sports media before it was even signed. It could have been a chance to show that boxing is "back" in the mainstream spotlight after a great year (boxing fans know it never went anywhere). Instead, once again, the powers that be shoot boxing in the foot.

Yes they did, but at this point, its Manny that's looking bad. I'm not too happy about it, but this was well played by Mayweather's camp. My personal belief is that he's clean and he'll still win, but I have to wonder what kind of damage was already done to Pac's legacy.

I think it gets made too, but Jesus Christ, this isn't how a sport should operate.

People always talk about why boxing isn't part of the mainstream sports culture anymore. There are a lot of reasons, but the all-encompusing one is that boxing hasn't shown any ability to govern itself in the past 100 or so years. This drama is a perfect example of that.

This is not the way I wanted it to be. I wanted this to be a fight for the ages. This definitely would have put both guys and the sport of boxing in the mainstream, but instead, it has reminded the public why boxing isn't what it used to be.

I believe the Mayweather camp believes Pacquiao is on steroids. Self-delusion it may be, but they believe it imo.
