I can certainly understand how we all want this fight to be made, but if you call yourself a fan aren't you being a little selfish here? Put yourself in his shoes for a moment and consider how it'd feel if someone made baseless, accusatory remarks that snowballed into slander, questioning all the hard work and dedication you've put into your craft to be on top of your game. Would you just say yes and kowtow because someone tried to instill doubt and insinuate that you're a fraud and basically that all your blood, sweat and tears were bogus? I'd be infuriated and rightfully so. In the clamor and desire of people to see this fight made, many people forget he has his own pride. It's hard for most of us to grasp the notion of it, especially since we just want to see the fight made between the two, but I can certainly understand where Pac is coming from.

[QUOTE=edgarg;7114207]Sorry to disappoint you, whoever you are. but Corrales was seriously weight drained , spent the whole day previous to weigh in, in a sweat box, as well as part of the weigh-in morning. As it was, he failed the 1st weigh-in. As well known writer TK Stewart said, when he saw him, his skin grey, all his ribs sticking out, and could barely stand, he knew he had no chance to win, even though, [by those who didn't attend the weigh in,] he was fancied to beat Mayweather, and on his past record, he should have.
But that didn't take into account the fact that over 6 months before, Corrales had given up the 130 weight class. Also, he didn't train properly for this fight, even if he had a chance to come in at the right weight, since he was going to jail for 2 years right after the fight. His trainer said he couldn't get him out of his room to train, he spent all his time playing computer games.
Larry Merchant said that when he was passing Corrales' dressing room, just before the fight, Corrales was stuffing down a huge hamburger sandwich, [I think actually he said, "scoffing down"] as if he hadn't eaten for a year.
When Corrales was interviewed shortly before the fight, he was asked about his problem making weight, and he said, after a big sigh, " Well, it isn't easy" and when further asked why he took the fight at that weight, he said, "Well they made me an offer I couldn't refuse".
It was well known that Corrales was going to jail,. and also that he was absolutely broke, and need money desperately to pay his legal bills etc.
It's quite easy to see that the Mayweather Brains Trust deliberately "cherry-picked this poor guy, who was desperate for cash, and on his way to jail. And his wife was leaving him.
What sort of a mental state do you guys think he was in??? He must have been completely shattered.Comment

How is a little bitty needle going to affect someone's performance? I think is a load of crap! I hate to say it because I don't even like the guy, but I agree with Floyd on this one. Manny is hiding something. If they test him lets say before weigh-in, that's a whole day before the fight. I was getting Anthrax, Small Pox and all kinds of Vaccines days before going into Iraq and it didn't affect me at all. If he's clean, then he should do it for his so-called loved fans not for the Media or Mayweather. It is su****ious that someone would let go of a $40+ million fight because of a 18 ga. or even smaller needle. He has some huge veins so a smaller one should do.Comment

That's like being arrested for murder and the police saying "Prove you didn't do it." Our system does not work that way. You cannot make baseless accusations. Standard drugs tests were good enough for all of Mayweather's fights until now, when he faces a real challenge and wants to avoid the fight.
Mayweather is scared to fight Pacquiao and wants out of the fight, no question about it. Mayweather has done this his entire career, and no one can argue that fact. Mayweather always, always, always avoided tough fights, and this is no exception.Comment

Worst, most biased article of all time.
"Let’s remember, Pacquiao was a flyweight not all that long ago. He’s added what appears to be 40 pounds of muscle to his frame – nearly 40 percent of what had been his body weight – and is exchanging punches with guys who as recently as two years ago were considered mismatches."
FACTS EXPOSIN FITZSIMMONS AS THE POOR JOURNALIST HE'S.
1)Flyweight=112.
So Manny added 33 pounds ON THE SCALE,112+33=145.
Not 40!!!!(Manny was jr flyweight,106 when he was 16 years old.)
2)Manny was 125 fight night at this time,he isn't weight drained anymore,he's added in reality 20-25 pounds in 10 years.
3)Manny last fight at 112(Flyweight) was in 1999 when he was 20 years old.
4)Manny is now 31 years old.
"PACQUIAO WAS A FLYWEIGHT NOT ALL THAT LONG AGO???"
So 11 years ago isn't long ago in a 31 years old fighter's career??
Thanks Fitzi for that garbage, now go to the bed.
Props for admitting you are on boat buyer nuts.
otherwise you're owned ....Comment

He should say yes to eliminate any doubt in the history books, to his countrymen and to all his fans. They deserve to support him free of doubt. Floyd is pushing hard for this fight and no one should have any illegal edge even tho I believe Floyd beats him on or off PEDs. Floyd has complied with everything asked of him and we the fans deserve to see Manny vs. PBF fair and square. This is not about Floyd this is about history and removing any doubt.Comment

Awe struck
I know Manny's accomplishments are unbelievable. We are still in awe of what he did to the last three fighters. Floyd and his minions, have managed to use shock and disbelief as a breeding ground, to shift the thoughts of irrational minds. Manny is willing to take a blood test right after the fight and agreed to give Floyd 10 million if he comes up dirty. How in the hell can you benefit from steroids in 30 days and not get caught? Really. Floyd will end-up like Jones if he doesn't put his balls back on NOW. If he waits, time will make him fight when he really shouldn't be. Do it now Floyd while you still have your youth. It's just an ass whippin, you can take it...Comment

Very ignorant comment. If Manny was clean he would just take the test like anyone else accused of something would. Shane was on one site saying Im clean yall can test me right now or any time you want cause I know Im clean. Why isn't Manny saying that?Comment

He's always tested clean per the Nevada commission in all his fights. All of a sudden there's a need to test him as prescribed by the Mayweather team?
"no one should have any illegal edge"--Obviously, but if you are insinuating and referring to Pac, which is what this hullabaloo is all about, I'd like to know what makes you think thus--apart from Sr.'s baseless, defamatory comments.Comment
