    Mayweather files petition with NSAC

How come this isn't being brought up? I think it's a big issue here.
GL: If the fight happens, the commissions drug testing procedures would be the standard operatig procedure that has been used in countless fights before it, correct?

KK: "That's what we're using now. As with anything, any licensee can petition us to do something different.

So where is the petition by Mayweather and/or GBP? Whats the point of forcing Pacquiao to agree to your terms if the only authority that can approve of the blood testing is the NSAC? Makes no damn sense to me. **** they should have me advise Pacquiao, cause obviously Top Rank and Arum and Michael Koncz are doing a crap job. They did say though "We'll do whatever the NSAC asks of us." Which makes sense when you see that a petition essentially has to be filed with the NSAC for approval anyways.

GL: As of now have any petitions been filed?
    KK: "No."
GL: Have the Mayweather people indicated that they will be filing one?
KK: "No. I've talke to Leonard Ellerbe a couple of times over the last couple of weeks and they were very positive conversations. He's always been a professional with us and nothing has changed in that regard. Whether or not he or Mr. Schaefer or anybody else on the Mayweather side of the fight would file something, you have to ask them."

???? Lots of question marks here. Wouldn't it make more sense to file with the NSAC first, then you'll have leverage in having the blood tests for the fight?
Looking from the outside in as neither a Mayflower nor a *******, I can only come to a couple conclusions:

[b]1. This is all a marketing ploy to generate hype for the fight.
    2. Mayweather and GBP had no intention on filing a petition. They knew
Pacquiao would never go for this, so they're using it to either
    postpone or duck the fight.
    3. They are trying to assassinate Pacquiaos character to rebuild Mayweather. I mean it is a hard pill to swallow when a foreigner is the bigger star than an American in AMERICA!

I think they're going in that direction with the latest dev but I dunno. It seems valid cause they're the commission.

I just don't see why they didn't in the first place. It definitely would have saved a lot of headaches.

There was nothing to indicate that Mayweather filed any petition based on the title of this thread.

        Seems odd, is all.

This shouldve been done in teh first place. Once the venue was set, only the NASC governs the fighters.

Hypothetically speaking, if one of them were to pop in the USADA testing, the fight could technically still be on since they werent under the governing party of the fight.

Arum insisted to Goldenboy and floyd if he wanted the tests his own way, submit a case to the NASC since they are the Commision that will hold the fight

The mayweather camp would have to prove to the NASC that blood testing has caught things that the urine tests havent. And prove giving blood AFTER the fight is inadaquete as some how it can be flushed within a matter of days.

In this case, Floyd cant prove that, as his only claim is, "I want his blood", and "it cant be, he's on something"

you can't expect them to set up a universal blood testing protocol within a month. it's impoosible.

Who? The NSAC? They handle things on a case by case basis. if mayweather was to file that petition, they'll hear the reasons for it and take a vote on that case. It doesn't apply to any other fight at all!

then they'd have to set up a new blood testing protocol(which they have no experience with). it could be done, but it would very unlikely. maybe if the bout was in the summmer.

They would just use accredited labs to collect and perform blood tests. Similar to what the USADA does. plus to fight in Nevada, you need a blood test yearly, anyways, so they have the resources and the means.
