Either way we both know Mayweather won't fight Williams.

The entire 140 division. He was offered a fight with Mayweather and turned it down.Cotto offered to come over to Manchester and fight Hatton and no responde.Let's not forget his shameful ducking of Junior Witter.

No way....Mayweather is way more defensive than Shane. Shane stood right in front of Forrest and was a sitting Target. I don't think there is a fighter from 140-154 who can land more than 10 clean flush shots on floyd in a fight....Williams included

I have no doubt that if Williams was a bigger draw than Manny Pacquiao then Mayweather would be fighting Williams.

Mayweather is about the money...not the opponent.

He isnt afraid of Williams..just like he isnt afraid of Mosley.....but those guys aren't bringing bigger money than Pacquiao....simple & plain.

After Mayweather beats Pac and Shane beats Berto..they will fight for sure. Unless Pac & Floyd have a rematch.

Why was Mayweather calling out Shane & Oscar @135 when he was a fighting on reg HBO and they were PPV fighters? Cause he wanted to get the Big Bucks.....i hate that these boxers are acting brand new all of a sudden about the politics of the sport.

He fought Mayweather at 147 in America, hardly ducking. I don't recall the Cotto offer. There was nothing in the Witter fight for Hatton.

Hatton is much more ready to fight than Floyd, he has more confidence in his own ability. Floyd is much more cautious and scared to lose his 0. If he doesn't think he can definitely win he won't take the fight, and even when he does take the fight he tries to weaken his opponent stealing every advantage possible.

Mayweather v Williams will never ever happen, we both know this, why pretend.

Nah, I think it's a good comparision in terms of height and reach but too different styles. Floyd would time PWilliams ass the whole night and won't get caught trading like Martinez did. Floyd UD.

Hatton turned down the offer to fight Mayweather when they were both at 140.Even after 40 professional fights,Hatton claimed that "he wasn't ready".

Hatton only fought Mayweather two years later because it was too great a purse to ignore.Mayweather had evolved in boxing's biggest star at this time,no risks involved here.If they lost, then Hatton could just make an excuse and claim that he lost to the best p4p fighter in the world(as he did against Pacquiao also).

Junior Witter and Ricky Hatton were two best junior welterweights in britain,in Europe,Witter has been calling out Hatton since 2001 and Hatton never stepped up.

Hatton wanted to build his profile in the US before fighting Mayweather, you call it a duck but he fought him at his weight class in his backyard with his choice of ring size and referee in his pocket.

When is Floyd going to come to the UK to fight Hatton at 140 with his choice of ring size and referee? ....never

and he'll never fight Williams either, Cotto and Mosley are also unlikely match-ups.

Junior Witter and Ricky Hatton were two best junior welterweights in britain,in Europe,Witter has been calling out Hatton since 2001 and Hatton never stepped up.
As I said there was nothing in a Junior Witter fight for Hatton, it would've been like Pac v Paulie, a payday for Paulie.
